PALO VERDE, Game one saw a tough effort out of the Devils who forced four lead changes and four tie scores while Sara Todorovich and Sarah Reaves both collected four kills to keep ASU in it. The Cardinal proved to be too tough though as Alix Klineman hit .429 in the game with seven kills to give Stanford the upper hand in the 30-27 win. Game two saw Margie Giordano come blasting back with a .500 kill percentage with five kills, while the Sun Devils force three lead changes and five tie scores, the last coming at an 18-18 knot before Stanford's Foluke Akinradewo hit a perfect five-for-five to push the Cardinal ahead, taking the game 30-24.
Game three was all Stanford as they hit an outrageous .593 in the game, led by Alix Klineman's .883 attack percentage and five kills. The Sun Devils were only able to produce nine kills as the Cardinal took the sweep with the final game score of 30-14. Up next the Sun Devils head over to |
