Women's Tennis Welcomes Future Member Sianna Simmons

May 6, 2008

TEMPE, Ariz. - The Arizona State Women's Tennis team is pleased to announce the signing of Sianna Simmons from Atlanta,GA . The freshman will help round out an already talent-laden line-up returning next season and looks to only make the Sun Devils stronger with her skill and aggressive play.

"We are extremely excited to have Sianna join the Sun Devil Family", said head coach Sheila McInerney. "Sianna is a fantastic young lady and she will be a great asset to ASU and our women's tennis program. We feel Sianna's best tennis is in front of her and she has the character, desire and work ethic to become an integral part of our team. Sianna has made tremendous strides this past year working with Brian DeVilliers and Grant Stafford and we are confident her game will continue to blossom at the collegiate level." We feel very fortunate that Sianna has chosen to be a Sun Devil and are anxious to get her on campus this August."

Meanwhile, the 2007-2008 season rolls on as the ASU Women's Tennis Team kicks off their postseason this week, as they take on Sacramento State this Friday afternoon in Fresno, Calif.
