Helping to round out the outfield, Dani Rae Lougheed joins the Sun Devils as yet another in-state product. A 2007 graduate of Scottsdale Christian Academy, Lougheed was a four-time letterwinner in both softball and volleyball as well as a letterwinner in track & field. She captained both the softball and volleyball teams and was named All-State in softball 2004-2007 and All-Region in softball 2004-2007 as well as All-State in volleyball in 2005. She was also a member of the National Honor Society in high school as well. No stranger to adversity, Dani Rae was diagnosed with a brain tumor and underwent two brain surgeries and now looks to return to the sport stronger than ever.

While currently an exploratory major, Dani Rae was born on February 2, 1989 in Scottsdale, Ariz. to Gregory (wireless technician) and Carey (massage therapist) Lougheed of Scottsdale. She is the second of three children with an older sister Shalyn (20) and a younger brother Logan (13). Her full name is Danielle Rae Lougheed.
