A 2006 graduate of Henry D. Sheldon High School in Eugene, Oregon, Kaycee returns to her home state to begin her first season with the Sun Devils. A two-sport athlete, Gamez earned four varsity letters for softball and three for volleyball. She captained her softball team three of the four years. Her honors include first team all-league, which she was named to three times, and earned second team all-league once. She also earned first and second team all-league honors for volleyball as well as first team all-state. Gamez was born in Phoenix, Ariz. to Rick (Pharmaceutical Sales) and Sandee Gamez on April 26, 1988. Kaycee's dad, Rick, played for Coach Myers at Casa Grande Union High School (1978 Arizona State Champs) and was also Coach Myers' Assistant Softball Coach at Central Arizona College and the former head softball coach at the University of Oregon. She has one younger sibling, CJ (6). She is currently undecided on her major. |
