TEMPE, Ariz. - Arizona State junior defender Amy LePeilbet's first-team selection headlined an impressive list of a school record six Sun Devil soccer players on the 2002 Pacific-10 Conference Women's Soccer All-Academic teams, announced today by Commissioner Tom Hansen.

To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and be either a starter or significant contributor. The Sun Devils also had four second-team honorees and one honorable mention choice.

First Team:

LePeilbet, who earned Academic All-American honors as well, carries a 3.84 in sociology. This is LePeilbet's second first-team selection. She played in all 21 games as the team's main defender, scoring two goals and one assist.

Second Team:

Patrice Feulner, a junior midfielder/forward, holds a 3.69 grade-point average in accounting. She played in all 21 games with two goals and one assist. This is Feulner's second straight All-Pac-10 Academic honor.

Stephanie Peel, a sophomore defender, carries a 3.64 grade-point average and has an undeclared major. Peel competed in all 21 games with two assists.

Wendy Rangitsch, a sophomore midfielder, has a 3.79 also undeclared. She played in 11 matches.

Shawn Reynolds, a sophomore defender, holds a 3.76 grade-point average with an undeclared major. Reynolds played in 20 of the 21 games with two assists.

Honorable Mention:

Haley van Blommestein, a junior midfielder, has a 3.00 grade-point average in sociology. She played in all 21 games with one goal and one assist.
