The story was Kelly, who won her fourth straight all-around title (39.8) in succession and the ninth of her career. Kelly will go for her school record tying fifth in a row next Friday in a meet versus No. 25 Minnesota at ASU. The York, Pa. product has won the title in recent weeks in the UNO's Classic, versus Arizona, in the Masters Classic and against EMU. She also scored her first career 10.0 on balance beam.
On the first rotation, ASU posted a score of 49.475 on vault, led by Kelly, who took first-place with a 9.95. Freshman April Boone recorded a career-high 9.9, tying for second-place with senior Maggie Germaine (tied season-high), freshman Cassandra Jusino and EMU's Leah Hashimoto. It was ASU's second-highest vault score of the season. Eastern Michigan scored 48.725 on vault.
On the second rotation, uneven bars, the Sun Devils were led by Kelly, who tied for first on the event with a 9.925 with junior Kari Muth, Jusino (tied career-high) and sophomore Lauren Powell, who established a career-high. The Sun Devils smashed the school record of 49.525 (2/6/04 vs. Oregon State) with a 49.6. Germaine placed 5th (9.9). EMU scored 48.075, led by Rebecca Fuss (9.825) on bars.
Kelly won her third event on beam, scoring the first 10.0 of her career. It was her third 10.0 of the season. Senior Amber Giorgianni tied a career-high and placed second with a 9.95. Muth set a season-high with a 9.925, finishing third. Powell set a career-high on the event with a 9.9 (fourth-place). ASU set a season-high 49.625 on beam. The Eagles scored a 48.75 on beam.

Muth and Germaine tied for honors on the floor exercise, scoring 10.0's. Muth scored the first 10.0 of her career on any event. Jusino (career-high) and Brooke Morari of EMU tied for third with 9.95's. Kelly and Hashimoto tied for fifth (9.925). ASU's 49.75 on floor was its second-highest in 2004.
