Lee Roy Smith's Wrestling with the Devil Camps

When it comes to teaching wrestling, no one does it better than Lee Roy Smith. Just ask his younger brothers, Olympic champion John Smith, four-time NCAA champion Pat Smith and two-time junior national champion Mark Smith.

Over the years, Lee Roy and his brothers have compiled a record that includes 10 high school state championships, seven junior national championships, seven NCAA titles, 11 All-America seasons, two Olympic gold medals, four world gold medals, one world silver medal, one World Cup gold and three World Cup silvers. It was Lee Roy who first learned the sport, then passed it on.

He started his coaching career at his wrestling alma mater, Oklahoma State University, historically the winingest wrestling program in the country. After a short stint in Switzerland, he spent 3.5 years as national coach, guiding the USA's elite freestyle wrestlers to their best-ever performance at the 1992 Olympics. He is still very highly respected in the international coaching ranks and served as head coach of the U.S. Freestyle team in the 1997 World Championships.

In each of his first four years as Arizona State head coach, Smith's Sun Devil wrestlers finished among the Top 10 teams at the NCAA Championships, including two fourth-place finishes and two Pac-10 Championships. Two of his wrestlers have won three national titles and individually, his wrestlers have won All-America honors 18 times. His 1998 team is one of his best ever, and is expected to challenge for top national honors

At every level, Lee Roy Smith has coached his wrestlers to championships. Now, he and his expert staff are ready to focus their attention on you, at Lee Roy Smith's Wrestling With the Devil Camps.

Wrestling With the Devil Camps will teach you the basics, top to bottom. Then, you'll learn how to build on those basics. You'll learn training, conditioning and drilling techniques. You'll learn how to make wrestling and winning fun. Plus, you'll learn the secrets that Coach Smith has learned in 27 years of wrestling experience, the same secrets he shared with his brothers, the same secrets that have made Smith synonymous with "champion."
