Singfield earning his keep at ASU (East Valley Tribune/Sept. 4, 2008)
ASU: Walk-on junior college transfer who will compete for playing time at cornerback in 2008...had an impressive spring, capping it off with two tackles, two pass deflections and an interception in the spring game. JUNIOR COLLEGE: Attended Pima Community College in Tucson, Ariz....played cornerback and wide receiver for Pima...earned first-team All-Conference honors and was named a pre-season All-American. HIGH SCHOOL: A 2005 graduate of Arvada High School in Arvada, Colo....had two interceptions and two rushing touchdowns as a junior...also played basketball and track...was an all-conference selection in basketball and track...was a team captain in basketball as a senior. PERSONAL: A BIS major (education and sociology) at ASU...parents are Tony (engineer) and Renee Singfield (sales manager) of Green Valley, Ariz....has three siblings, Antoine, Mark and Allonte...enjoys playing sports, reading, hanging out with friends and family and working out...born Sept. 25, 1987 in Akron, Ohio...full name is Pierre Dante Singfield. |
