ASU: Promising and versatile defender who was moved to outside linebacker from safety before the 2007 season...is expected to compete for the starting WILL (weak side) linebacker spot in 2008...has played in 23 games in two seasons, and has 49 career tackles (33 solo)...enjoyed an excellent true freshman season playing in the Sun Devil secondary...collected the most interceptions by an ASU freshman defender since 2001 and the most tackles by a Sun Devil freshman defensive back since the 2002 season...brings a dynamic element to ASU's young and talented linebackers group...collected six tackles in the spring game.

2006: Appeared in 12 games as a true freshman, starting eight...played mainly at free safety in ASU's nickel defensive package...totaled 34 tackles (26 solo)...was second to defensive end Dexter Davis in tackles among Sun Devil freshmen...added 2.0 tackles-for-loss (-16 yards) and a 15-yard sack...intercepted two passes (30 yards), broke up two passes and forced a fumble...totaled two solo tackles in his ASU against Northern Arizona on Aug. 31...against Nevada on Sept. 9, he posted five total tackles (four solo), with a 15-yard sack of Wolf Pack quarterback Jeff Rowe and a interception of a Rowe pass, returned 30 yards for a touchdown...tallied four total tackles (three solo) at No. 21 California on Sept. 23...collected a career-high six total stops (three solo) and forced a fumble against No. 12 Oregon on Sept. 30...chipped in three solo tackles at No. 3 USC on Oct. 14...intercepted a T.C. Ostrander pass at the end of the second quarter against Stanford on Oct. 21...totaled four tackles (three solo) at Washington on Oct. 28...posted three solo tackles and a one-yard tackle-for-loss at Oregon State on Nov. 4...closed out the season recording four solo tackles against Hawai'i in the Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl on Dec. 24.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2006 graduate of Chino (Calif.) High School...rated as the No. 44 defensive back in the nation by Rivals.com...rated as the No. 48 safety in the nation by Scout.com...named to the All-C.I.F. Southern Section Division II team as a defensive back in 2005...as a junior and senior, had 45 receptions for 460 yards and seven touchdowns and rushed 20 times for 290 yards and four scores...also scored four touchdowns on seven punt returns and two more on kickoffs...collected 672 yards on punt returns and 231 yards on kickoff returns...finished his junior and senior seasons with nearly 200 tackles; nine interceptions, including two for touchdowns; four fumbles caused; two recovered fumbles; and 12 deflected passes...as a senior collected 70 tackles, five interceptions (two for touchdowns), three fumbles caused and two fumbles recovered...also added 258 yards receiving and two touchdowns...also lettered in track and field...coached by John Monger.
