SUN DEVIL DATA: Seems like he has been playing college hoops forever, as he has logged 29.3 minutes per game in his three years with 73 starts in 98 games. Has 393 career assists in just three seasons, just 61 shy of the ASU career record of 454 set by Bobby Thompson from 1983-87. Has averaged 11.7 points in ASU's six wins against ranked teams in his tenure while shooting .615 from the three-point stripe (8-of-13) and 31-of-34 (.912) from the free throw line. Battled knee injury all of his junior year and had surgery in May of 2008 to clean up the leg. Two-time California state prep champion (2003 and 2006) joined the Sun Devil program in July of 2006 after Kevin Kruger suddenly transferred and ended up averaging 32.2 minutes per game in Pac-10 play in his freshman year, now fifth-most by a freshman in ASU's league history behind only Pac-10 Freshmen of the Year Ike Diogu (33.3 in 2002-03) and Byron Scott (34.2 in 1979-80) and the duo of James Harden (35.9) and Ty Aboott (34.8) in 2007-2008. Played for current assistant coach Scott Pera at Artesia High School and was a three-year starter and team captain at point guard and won 2006 state title with James Harden. Understands the game and was part of one of the country's top programs in his high school career.
