High School: A 2005 graduate of Central Dauphin High School (Harrisburg, Pa.)...selected as the 2005 Gatorade National Male Track and Field Athlete of the Year... competed at the 2005 USATF Junior National Championships, won the shot put with a meet record throw of 19.74m (64-9.25) and finished second in the discus with a toss of 55.56m (182-03)...advanced to the 2005 Pan-American games where he won both events...won shot put gold with a throw of 19.75m (64-9.50)...followed that with victory in the discus with a meet-record mark of 61.40m...Golden West Athlete of the Meet...first-team all-state four times...fourth on the all-time indoor shot put list in Pennsylvania...10-times selected All-American...holds records in shot put and discus at the school, Mid-Penn, district and state levels...2005 indoor national champion in the shot put...Track and Field News ranked him the top throwing recruit in the nation...lettered in track and field four times and was named team captain his final three years.
