Benedetti Finishes Seventh on One-Meter at NCAA Championships

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. - Day one of the NCAA Men's Swimming Championships concluded with junior Micky Benedetti finishing a strong seventh place in the one-meter. The All-American earned 361.25 points in the event final. Benedetti had scored 332.70 in the preliminaries.

Senior C.J. Nuess also competed on Thursday. The Medical Lake, Wash., senior clocked in a time of 4:21.41 to place 23rd overall in the 500 free.

The Sun Devils are currently in 22nd place with 12 points. Benedetti will compete in the three meter tomorrow and Nuess will try his hand in the 400 IM.
